As yet another successful trip winds down here in Naden Harbour, we are faced with the final trip of what has been a simply phenomenal season of fishing. Not wanting to break from the recent trend, the fishing was yet again great, with superb angling displayed by all of our guests.

The trip started off strong with a couple Tyee Chinook Salmon right off the bat on day one. The first was brought in by Robert Mariyama, representing the first Chinook he had ever caught! With his guide Cory showing him the ropes, and his son Colby at his side, he was able to land his 30 pound Tyee after a half-hour fight off of Cape Naden. Adding to the excitement of day one was another beautiful Tyee, this time courtesy of Greg Sanders, who with his guide Kai was able to land his after a great fight just off of Bird Rock that lasted over three quarters of an hour!

However, these big catches did not match up to the trophy fish that David Shultz was able to land on the sunny third morning. Under the experienced guidance of Mike, they were in their beautiful Edgewater boat, sitting stationary in the ripping current in front of Bird rock when their side rod started screaming. After a 40 minute fight, they were able to bring in an awesome 41 pound hog, winning them the bragging rights for the biggest fish of the trip!

Similarly to the past few trips, the halibut fishing was also remarkable, with almost all guests also limiting out in halibut. The biggest halibut was brought in by George Leskosky on salmon gear off of Parker Point, coming to a whopping 47 pounds!

As the year season winds down, it is getting increasingly difficult to say bye to every group of guests as each time brings us closer to the day that we as staff will also have to board the helicoptor and leave this fishing paradise. We have had a great time and sincerely hope that we have been able to pass that along to all of our amazing guests yet again this trip.
