Naden Harbour Guided Fishing

Trip #21 August 19 – 23

August 23rd, 2009

Good sea conditions, tight schools of coho with halibut and ling cod mixed in defined the trip.

The coho were concentrated in the west in tight schools feeding on the large amount of bait.
A number of humpback whales were feasting on the bait schools, giving the fleet some great whale watching.

A few Chinook were caught on the traditional points , while the halibut and ling cod were caught inshore with the feed.

The largest Chinook was a 36lb landed by Marty Allard, the largest halibut was 40lbs landed by Jim Allard.
